Never watched it before, but took a gander last night. What's all the fuss about? A few funny bits, mostly felt dated and a bit 'not-funny' really.

I loved this series but this was re-hashed shit. I hated it.

They should have left it alone.

Steve and Reece were on the Richard Herring Podcast a few weeks ago, talking about the new series due to come out. Richard asked if they'd feel uncomfortable returning to the black face or the transvestism. They said they're not going to give the game away about which characters are returning, but they have no problems with bringing back anyone as they were all well rounded characters and not playing on stereotypes for laughs.

I'd have to agree with them. If you think about Babs and how they dealt with her emotions pre- and post- op, and the difficulties she had. Compare that to Little Britain, where the joke was a man in a dress saying 'I'm a lady'. Poles apart.

Can't wait for these new episodes. I enjoyed Psychoville and there were some great episodes of Inside No 9. I even watched Sherlock. Still nothing beats the three series of the League.

They are coming back.

In the current climate it will be interesting to see the reaction to babs cabs from the LBGT community and to Papa Lazarou from the David Lamy, Balck Lives Matter groups.

Mickey will probably be out for making fun of the thick and unemployed. Pauline will be out for cultural appropriation of a trans person.

No doubt as BBC comedians they willal be Remain campaigners and will turn Tubbs and wide into Leave campaigners - for local people.

They created some great characters, I hope they have the strength to stand by them.
